This part of the Italian Alps is famous for its breathtaking natural scenery, historical monuments, thermal springs and rich cultural tradition. Because of its diversity and beauty, Alta Valtellina is a popular destination for nature and sports lovers as well as for those seeking peace and relaxation.

Alta Valtellina is one of the most popular winter resorts, located near the border with Switzerland, not far from the world-famous resort of St. Moritz. The most famous ski resorts in the Alta Valtellina area are Livigno and Bormio.

These world-famous winter centres attract a large number of tourists each year, with around 200 km of downhill runs and 100 km of cross-country skiing trails. Skiers can combine resorts or use ski passes for a specific area only. All resorts offer excellent skiing conditions, quality service and perfect equipment. In this area, you will be impressed by the long valleys, which are embedded between the mountain massifs.

Alta Valtellina will also undoubtedly impress you with the beautiful and unspoilt nature of the Stelvio National Park.

For those looking for rest and relaxation, Alta Valtellina also offers the opportunity to visit the thermal baths of Bormio. This spa is famous for its healing springs, which have been used since antiquity. Modern spa complexes combine the traditional healing effects of the springs with modern wellness services.
