A famous ski resort Bormio lies 1225 metres above sea level at the most northern tip of Lombardy at the end of the valley Valtelina near the border with Switzerland. Bormio is famous for organizing races of the World Cup Alpine skiing. There are ski slopes of all levels. Bormio ranks among the first in Europe in the demand of downhill trails.
The historic center of Bormio has pretty narrow flagged streets and ancient palaces, we recommend you to visit the local thermal spa or 20 km distant glacier resort Passo Stelva.
Winter Resort Bormio has 30 km blue, 54 km red and 22 km black ski slopes.
