A place of pilgrimage with an ancient tradition

At the top of Monte Lussari (1,789 m above sea level) is a picturesque pilgrimage church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, which attracts worshippers from Italy, Slovenia and Austria every year. The history of this church dates back to the 14th century when, according to legend, a shepherd found a statue of the Virgin Mary on this spot. Following this discovery, a church was built here, which became an important pilgrimage site. Today, people come here not only for the skiing, but also for the peaceful atmosphere and spiritual contemplation.
