On this interesting ski circuit in Alta Badia you can ski from Corvara, Colfosco, La Villa or Badia all the way to San Cassiano/Armentarola. From there, a shuttle taxi (note, not included in the ski pass price) will take you to the Falzarego Pass (2,105 m), where the route starts. The Falzarego Pass can of course also be reached directly by local buses (again, the fare is not included in the ski pass price).the
Lagazuoi cable car will take you to the mountain of the same name (2,778 m). To warm up, we would recommend the Lagazuoi ski run.
The red slope leads back to the pass and to the lower station of the cable car. After a short climb, the 7.5 km long Armentarola slope awaits you. This is one of the most impressive slopes in the Alps and offers an unforgettable view of the Fanes Valley. The slope leads you through a charming valley with rocky mountains and steep ice falls (popularly known as icefalls) down towards Sas Dlacia.
At Sas Dlacia, a Noriker horse-drawn carriage awaits to take you to the Armentarola ski lift, the entrance to the Alta Badia ski area. The Noriker horse is a heavy mountain draft horse, strong and long-lived, native to the Alpine valleys between Italy and Austria. Originally used by local farmers, Noriker horses are strong, sociable and friendly animals. Each coachman in Sas Dlacia has at least 3 horses, so that the pulling takes turns and does not tire the animals.
From the slopes in Alta Badia, it will take you about half a day to complete the ski circuit. While you're enjoying your skiing adventure around Lagazuoi, you can also explore the winter sports resort of Cinque Torri, which can be reached on skis from the Falzarego Pass.
An excursion to Lagazuoi is unique both for the beauty of the landscape and for the numerous historical testimonies you will encounter along the way.
