Slopes and lifts
Val Gardena has over 175 km of pistes, suitable for beginners and experienced skiers alike. It offers blue (easy) slopes (30% of the total slopes, ideal for beginners), red (intermediate) slopes (60%, perfect for for intermediate skiers who want a good dose of adrenaline) and black (hard) slopes (10%, for experts and those looking for a real challenge).
The area is connected by a modern network of lifts and cable cars. Among the most famous are the lifts that provide access to the legendary Sella Ronda circuit, which connects Val Gardena with three other resorts(Arabba, Alta Badia, va/en/val-di-fassa.html). The Sella Ronda offers an unforgettable skiing experience on a circuit of about 40 km.
In addition to classic skiing, there are also freestyle snowparks and freeride spots.
the valley has a long tradition of carving, which is also reflected on the slopes. While skiing you can come across wooden sculptures and art installations that give the area a unique atmosphere.
Some parts of Val Gardena offer special night skiing during the full moon. It's a magical experience to ski down the slopes under the glowing moon in the silence of the night.

Saslong: One of the most famous slopes in Val Gardena is Saslong, which is part of the Alpine Skiing World Cup circuit. It's an iconic track that offers sharp turns and big jumps that test the skills of even the best racers.

Seceda: The Seceda area is a paradise for those who love long runs. The longest track here is over 10 km long and offers breathtaking downhill runs with panoramic views of the Dolomites.

La Longia: One of the longest slopes in the whole resort, it runs from the Seceda to Ortisei. This 10.5 km long run passes through caves and picturesque valleys.
Apres-ski
Val Gardena also offers a wealth of apres-ski opportunities. Popular places include mountain huts, bars and restaurants where you can enjoy local specialities such as traditional South Tyrolean dishes (speck, canederli) and delicious wines from the Alto Adige region.
For families, there are plenty of entertainment options such as sledging or visiting the ice skating rink.
Also in Val Gardena you can visit the museum, which traces the history of skiing in the region. There are old models of skis and equipment used by the first skiers in the area.
