Hotel Orsa Maggiore Lipari. The recently renovated 3-star Hotel Orsa Maggiore is located in Porto Ponente on the island of Vulcano in the Aeolian Islands. The hotel is located about 350 metres from a bay with picturesque beaches characterised by their black sand. The town centre is about 1 km from the hotel. Guests can best reach the island via the airport in Catania and then connect to Milazzo (info e.g. here: alibrando.net). The hotel provides airport transfer (on request, for a fee).
