The area offers more than 500 km of groomed cross-country skiing trails, so it is rightly considered one of the biggest and best places for cross-country skiing in Europe. The trail networks will satisfy both beginners and experienced skiers. Major cross-country skiing races are also held here every year, including the prestigious "Gran Fondo" marathon.
