val Gardena is a very popular area for winter holidays in the Italian Alps, considered the most beautiful place in the Dolomites. It lies on the edge of the Sella Ronda ski circuit, so you can visit the other ski resorts of Alta Badia, Arabba/Marmolada and Val di Fassa in a single day.

In Val Gardena there are three towns: Selva Gardena, Santa Cristina and Ortisei (St. Ulrich), in addition, on the surrounding slopes, many hotels and apartments have sprung up, mostly of a higher category, with superior care for visitors.
Thanks to artificial snow, skiing is possible even in spring, and there are cross-country skiing trails and a snowboard fun park.

Val Gardena / Alpe di Siusi are the best ski areas of Trentino / Alto Adige.

Skiing in Val Gardena is simply emotions between the peaks of Sassolungo, Sciliar, Cir and Sella. Between December and April, this beautiful area invites you to taste the most excitingwinter sports and to conquer up to 175 slopes with more than 84 transport facilities. In addition to the downhill runs, there are also 98 km of cross-country trails, not excluding toboggan runs, such asfrom the 2,282m Resciesa above Ortisei, in the Alpe di Siusi from Monte Piz, or from the 2,100m Bullaccia, or from the same height from Zallinger to Saliner. Val Gardena and its surrounding areas also belong to the Dolomiti Superski, the largest ski area in the Alps with more than 450 lifts and more than 1,220 km of pistes. The difficulty of the slopes is about 10% advanced, 60% intermediate and 30% beginner.

The skiing here is truly breathtaking. It's all about thrilling rides, beautiful ski tours and the best snowparks ("Snowpark Alpe di Siusi") in Italy. The short waiting times at the transport facilities, the snowy slopes and the 300 days of sunshine a year are unforgettable.
