Marina Azzurra Resort Lignano Sabbiadoro. Marina Azzurra Resort is located in Lignano on the left bank of the Tagliamento River. This river forms the natural border between Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto. The resort is set on a green area of 120,000 m², just a few steps from the Punto Verde Zoo in Lignano Riviera and 2,500 m from the beach and the centre of Lignano Sabbiadoro and Bibione. The resort offers beach service (umbrella, sun lounger, deck chair) for each houseboat. Guests can use the parking lot.
It is an exclusive tourist complex (inspired by Dutch and Canadian floating villages) consisting of houseboats. The shape of the houseboats is meant to resemble the typical houses of the Venetian and Friulian lagoons. In the past, these houses, made up of rectangular wooden structures and pitched roofs, were home to lagoon fishermen and their families.
The houseboats are 6.00 m x 10 m, are arranged on two floors and can accommodate up to six people. The houseboat has a surface area of 65 m² and the terrace has a surface area of 18 m². The entrance is located on the main deck. The houseboats are equipped with all modern technology: they have satellite TV, WiFi, air conditioning and mosquito nets in every room.
For safety reasons, it is recommended for families with children up to 8 years old.
The resort also has a Clubhouse - a 40m x 10m floating boat arranged over three floors. On this boat, among other things, breakfast and dinner are served, and guests can also have food delivered so they can enjoy their meals directly on the houseboat. On the open upper deck there is a lounge bar with musical entertainment.
After breakfast, the boat can leave for a trip reserved for guests of Marina Azzurra Resort.
The pool complex covers an area of 450 m² and consists of an adult pool (130 cm deep), a children's pool with water features (20 to 50 cm deep) and a wellness pool (90 cm deep). The large solarium is equipped with sunbeds, parasols and beach towels.
Guests of Marina Azzurra Resort can rent electric boats for six / seven people on site and explore the surrounding area with them. From the resort, it is possible to sail along the river and reach the beaches of Bibione or Lignano Sabbiadoro. The rental price is about €50 per day, on request and subject to availability.
In the resort, just a few steps from the banks of the Tagliamento River, there is a gazebo and a barbecue for guests in the middle of the greenery. Bicycle rental is available for a fee of € 2 per day. Guests can use the beach volleyball court, tennis courts and football/basketball/volleyball court. There is a playground for children. There is also a shared laundry room.
On request, it is possible to stay with a small dog for a fee of € 20 per day.

The Tagliamento River is considered the last morphologically intact river corridor in the Carnic Alps and is considered an extremely valuable and interesting ecosystem. The Alpine river is characterised by the peculiarity of its water colour, which goes from aquamarine to emerald green shades.
