At the request of Maximilian, a beautiful 22-hectare castle park was also established at Miramare. It is home not only to original European trees and plants, but also to Californian redwoods, Lebanese cedars and other exotic a part of the garden was originally used for scientific purposes and there were also greenhouses with tropical plants and aviaries with rare birds.the surrounding gardens therefore include exotic plants, romantic walkways and artistic fountains that create a harmonious environment around the castle.
