Duino-Aurisina is an area in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, north of Trieste, formed by the merger of 5 smaller municipalities (Duino, Aurisina, Malchina, San Pelagio and Slivia), named after the two largest of them. It is located on the coast of the Gulf of Trieste in a very rugged landscape with cliffs, caves and hills.
