The Butterfly Arc, or La Casa delle Farfalle, is a butterfly house in the small beautiful town of Montegrotto Terme, located just a few kilometres south of Padua. The Butterfly House was founded in Italy in 1988, as an effort to create a natural space where visitors can admire beautiful butterflies from all over the world. The Butterfly House consists of a lushly vegetated hall with a pond and a bridge where, in addition to tropical butterflies, parrots also fly. In the butterfly house you can admire three kinds of exotic gardens where more than 400 species of butterflies fly. All stages of the butterfly from egg, caterpillar, chrysalis to the butterfly itself are also on display. Visitors can learn the differences between the night and day life of these animals. The plants found in the butterfly house are chosen to create a natural space, affect the environment in terms of light, shade, humidity and produce substances and nutrients, minerals important for the life of butterflies.
