This area is located in northern Italy, in the Po plain, near the city of Padua and about 30 km from the famous Venice.
The unique healing effects
Terme Euganee includes several spa towns that are very well known in Italy:

The locality is an important source of healing thermal waters, which come from about 80 km awaythe water travels underground to a reservoir located in the Terme Euganee area. At a depth of about 2000-3000m underground, the water is enriched with various minerals during this long journey and heated to almost 90°C under high pressure. It is then extracted from boreholes at the hotel resorts and further exploited. The most important use of thermal water is to enrich the local mud with medicinal and mineral substances. The thermal water is also pumped into the hotel swimming pools after cooling (it comes out of the boreholes at a temperature of approx. 80°C).(most hotels have several of them with different temperatures - approx. 32-38°C) and the hotels are heated with this thermal water.
What all is treated with mud here?
The local spa mainly treats musculoskeletal disorders, inflammatory diseases (rheumatism, etc.), various post-operative and painful conditions, and in recent years medical research has also shown the effectiveness ofthe activity of local medicinal mud in the treatment of psoriasis (psoriasis vulgaris) has been demonstrated by medical research, with very good results. Classical mud therapy is recommended in a weekly or, better, fortnightly treatment at a frequency of 1-2 times a year.
How do the treatments work?
Clients usually check in at the hotel during the day on Sunday and go to the hotel doctor on Monday morning.doctor for a health check-up, where the doctor will rule out possible contraindications to the therapeutic mud wraps. This mud has been lying and maturing in the thermal water at a temperature of about 80-90°C for at least two months before being used for your wrap.

After this bath, about an hour's bed rest is recommended, followed by a 20-minute massage. The number of applications is of course up to you, but the basic recommended treatment is 6 or 12 applications. (depending on the length of stay - always Monday-Saturday, Sunday is a rest or arrival/departure day). Hotels usually also offer one trial application. All hotels with thermal cures are supervised by the Italian Ministry of Health and are subject to strict regular inspections.
What to do in my free time?
Ideally, catch the spa treatments before breakfast (the mud starts at 5am).
