The Italian company Lamborghini produces high-performance sports cars. It has been a subsidiary of Audi from 1998 to the present. The company was founded in 1962 by Ferruccio Lamborghini and is based in Sant'Agata Bolognese and the cars are manufactured in Bologna. World-class designers and design firms design for the company. Ferruccio Lamborghini founded a tractor manufacturing company in the town of Centa in 1948, then expanded his company in 1959 to manufacture air conditioners. In 1962, he laid the foundations of today's Lamborghini.
