Ischia is the largest island in the Gulf of Naples, located in the region of Campania. This volcanic island is famous for its thermal springs, picturesque beaches and rich vegetation, which is why it is often called the "green island".

The island offers a number of thermal baths, such as the famous Poseidon Gardens or the Spanegombo Spa, where visitors can enjoy the healing effects of hot mineral springs. In addition, the island offers sandy beaches, rocky coves and clear sea, ideal for swimming and water sports. The most popular beaches are Spiaggia dei Maronti and Citara.

The historic part of Ischia Ponte attracts visitors to the iconic Aragonese Castle. The island also harbours other places of interest such as the botanical garden of La Mortella or the summit of Monte Epomeo.

Ischia is also famous for its traditional Campanian cuisine. Local specialities include dishes made from fresh fish and seafood, pasta with tomato sauce and the famous Biancolella wine. The island is also the starting point for trips to neighbouring islands such as Procida or Capri, or to mainland destinations such as Naples or Vesuvius.
