Annone Veneto is a small municipality located in north-eastern Italy, in the province of Treviso in the Veneto region. It is about 30 minutes from Caorle and about 45 minutes from other popular destinations such as Bibione, Lido di Jesolo, Lignano Sabbiadoro.
The history of Annone Veneto dates back to the time when the area was settled by Roman colonists. Since the Middle Ages, Annone Veneto has undergone various phases of development and change, leaving a distinctive mark on the architecture and culture of the village. As far as architecture is concerned, there are many interesting monuments in Annone Veneto. Ancient churches, well-preserved country houses and historic palaces tell the story of the wealth and influence that this municipality once had.
Annone is, however, best known for its wine: it has at least 800 hectares of vineyards and - like neighbouring San Stino - has been a member of the Association of "Città del vino" (Cities of Wine) since 1988.
In Annone Veneto you will find vineyards that have a long history and are definitely worthy of attention. The soil and climate of the area are favourable for growing grapes, resulting in the production of quality wine with rich flavours and aromas.
The most common grape varieties grown in the region are Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio. These varieties are known for their ability to adapt well to the local environment and produce balanced and tasty wines. However, the cultivation of the Glera grape, which is used to produce Prosecco, also plays an important role here.
Prosecco is one of the region's most famous products. This fresh and delicate sparkling drink is popular not only in Italy but all over the world. When visiting Annone Veneto, don't miss the opportunity to taste authentic Prosecco straight from the local vineyards. If you make your way to Annone Veneto, be sure to stop in the neighbouring village of Pramaggiore at Azienda Agricola Ai Galli, which has repeatedly won wine competitions around the world. They'll give you a taste of the wines right in the cellar, and if you want to take some home, they won't spend muchmost of them are around €7-10/bottle - a great price for 90+ point wines.
In addition to stopping at wineries along the Wine Route, you can admire the sights in Annone Veneto, the most beautiful of which is the Church of San Vitale from the 15th century. it was rebuilt in the 18th century and then renovated in 1946. All that remains of the original structure is the 16th century bell tower, believed to have been built on top of the castle tower of the former military camp. The walls of the huge square structure are broken up by canopies and double lancet windows on four walls at the top. During the renovation in 1763, an octagonal tower with a pinnacle was added to the tower.

In July, the Fiera di Sant'Annone festival takes place here and is one of the most important events in the Annone Veneto calendar.
