Tropea is an Italian town with approximately 6,775 inhabitants. It is located in the province of Vibo Valentia in the Italian region Calabria. Tropea is one of the most visited and beautiful towns in Calabria. Many tourists are attracted especially by the crystal clear sea, the beaches with fine white sand, the rocky cliffs and the many entertainment venues. A large number of churches, chapels and palaces have also been preserved.
Tropea is also famous for the cultivation of grapefruit and red onions, which are synonymous with the highest quality. The local onions and spicy salami are even used to make ice cream. Very popular excursions in the area include the Aeolian Islands or the water park in Zambrone.
