Pesaro is located on the Adriatic coast in the central part of Italy - Marche. It was founded by the Romans and has always been one of the most important towns in the region.
Sightseers can visit several museums and galleries, and the remains of the city walls, ancient palaces and ancient villas have been preserved until now. In the main square, Piazza del Popolo, there is a magnificent fountain with statues of newts and sea horses.
Despite its rich history, Pesaro is a modern tourist resort, with hotels and apartments, shops, restaurants and cafes, and a promenade. The sandy beaches stretch all the way to the neighbouring towns, the water entrance is gentle and the sea is clean - just perfect for a summer holiday.
Make sure you take time to visit the nearby towns of San Benedetto del Tronto, Villa Rosa, Martinsicuro, Fano, Alba Adriatica, Silvi Marina or Montesilvano.
