Carisolo and Pinzolo are located in the Val Rendena valley in Trentino, near the famous resort of Madonna di Campiglio. Pinzolo is the larger of the two villages and offers extensive skiing opportunities thanks to its connection to the Skirama Dolomiti ski area. Carisolo is a quieter village on the edge of the valley, surrounded by the Adamello Brenta Natural Park. In the area there is the Pinzolo ski area with modern lifts and slopes for all levels. In summer, it is a popular destination for hikers who go hiking in the Dolomites or ferrata. Local gastronomy includes Trentino specialities such as polenta, cheese and bacon. The area is also popular with cyclists thanks to its scenic mountain trails. Connections with Madonna di Campiglio allow extended access to more than 150 km of ski slopes. The surrounding countryside also attracts lovers of cross-country skiing and ski mountaineering.
