Caorle - Lido di Altanea

Altanea

Caorle - Lido di Altanea is the newest part of one of northern Italy's most popular resorts on the Adriatic coast. It was built on a green field between Porto Santa Margherita and Duna Verde.

Altanea offers sandy beaches with a gentle entrance to the water and plenty of greenery, but above all, nice new apartmentslocated in terraced villas or smaller residences, divided into several villaggio complexes with swimming pools. The resort is especially popular with families with children, who can spend a pleasant holiday here and many of them return every year.

All the complexes are comfortably furnished, the individual complexes are fenced and have a gate with a number code.d (so no strangers can get in), each has a parking lot, swimming pools and above all plenty of well-kept greenery. There is a network of cycle paths in the area, so you can definitely use bikes, scooters and in-line skates, there are often exercise classes by the pools and on the beach, and children's discos in the evening.
There's also a small shopping gallery with shops, cafes and ice cream parlours, and there's even a large supermarket nearby. Children and adults alike will appreciate the tourist train, which takes you to and from the beach for free, so you don't have to walk with a load of buckets and buns.
Among the most popular complexes are Villaggio Acacie and Villaggio Giardini di Altea, where you can choose accommodation in apartments with balconies or terraced villas with a garden. Since summer 2013, there is even free wi-fi in all complexes !

If relaxing on the beach is not enough, you can go on a trip to the historic part of the town Caorle. Its ancient romantic centre is characterised by colourful houses in narrow streets, a pedestrianised areawith shops and cafés, a unique coastal promenade with statues carved into boulders, a church on the beach and a leaning bell tower.
Every yeareuropean commissionawards the town of Caorle with the Blue Flag, an award for its clean beaches and respect for the environment.
