Arabba/Marmolada is an area on the border of the Italian regions of Veneto and Trentino. The Marmolada is the highest massif in the southeastern Alps and is rightly called the "Queen of the Dolomites". Visitors have been able to ski on the north side of the glacier all year round. At the foot is the picturesque mountain lake Lago di Fedaia. On the other side of the massif, there are several trails for hikers and among the most frequented are those leading to the top of Punta Penia.
An interesting feature of the trails in this area are the remains and evidence of the dramatic events of the First World War. The War Museum and the Museo della Grande Guerra in Marmolada are located here. Hikers can enjoy unforgettable panoramas of the mountains and beautiful views of the mountain lakes. Arabba is not one of the busy mountain resorts, but its atmosphere will guarantee you a pleasant holiday.
