Alpe Cimbra, located in the Trentino region of northern Italy, is one of the most beautiful places in the Italian Alps. Although it is not as well known as other Alpine destinations, its charm lies in its authenticity, beautiful nature and incredible opportunities for year-round activities.

Alpe Cimbra is a mountain area in the Italian region of Trentino, which mainly comprises the two main resorts of Folgaria and Lavarone and their surrounding villages. This destination lies in the southern part of the Italian Alps and is known for its wide range of activities in both winter and summer. Alpe Cimbra is particularly popular with skiers, hikers and nature lovers.

 

Alpe Cimbra is located in the province of Trento, about 30 km south of the city of Trento and west of the famous Dolomites. Geographically, it lies between the peaks of Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna, which form a typical Alpine landscape with mountain meadows, forests, lakes and peaks.

Historical and cultural richness

Alpe Cimbra has a rich history linked to the First World War, as the area was the scene of many battles. There are a number of historic forts, such as Forte Belvedere or Forte Cherle, which are now used as museums. In addition, there is a minority of Cimbri, an indigenous population with Germanic roots, whose culture and traditions still survive and are the subject of ethnographic studies.

The villages of Folgaria and Lavarone have preserved their traditional Alpine character with original wooden houses and picturesque squares.
