In the heart of the beautiful countryside of the Trentino region, on the Alpe Cimbra plateau, you will find the unique Respiro degli Alberi (Breath of the Trees) hiking trail. This trail offers a wonderful experience where human creativity and natural beauty meet.

The Respiro degli Alberi trail is located near the village of Lavarone and is part of a wider system of hiking trails in the Alpe Cimbra area, which also includes places like Folgaria and Luserna. The trail runs along mountain ridges and forests at around 1,400 metres above sea level and offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

The trail starts at Lavarone, where you can park your car. If you are travelling by public transport, it is possible to get to Lavarone by bus from nearby Trento or Rovereto. The trail itself is free and accessible all year round, although in winter you should allow for snow, which may affect the passability of some parts.

Art and nature in harmony

The Respiro degli Alberi is a trail that combines natural scenery with art installations created by various artists. Each work you will find along the trail is designed to be in harmony with the environment and to highlight the beauty of the forest. The aim of the trail is to highlight the importance of the breathing of the forest, that is, the importance of nature and its role in our daily lives.
