The Tremiti Islands are easily accessible by sea from the ports of Vieste, Rodi Garganico, Peschici and Termoli. The journey to San Domino Island takes about 60 minutes and tickets for the ferry and seaplane to Tremiti can be purchased online. The price varies depending on the port, sailing and season. For example, a day trip to the Tremiti Islands in the middle of summer will cost around 50 euros per person round trip.
The largest of the islands, San Domino, is also the island with the most developed tourism. All of the islands' accommodation facilities are located here. You will find a small village here. The island is covered with Mediterranean scrub, on which there is only one large beach - Cala delle Arene - and many small rocky coves.
Get off the ferry and head towards Punta del Diamante, the northernmost tip of the island, towards Cala Tamariello. In this sun-drenched cove, named after the presence of shrimp, in the Amarielli dialect, you can relax and have lunch at picnic tables in the shady pine forest.
