The town Tortoreto Lido is located in the central part of Italy calledd Abruzzo, at the coast of the Jordan sea under the mountain Tertero Alto. The long promenade along the coastline continues to the neighbouring resort Alba Adriatica and it is lined by palm trees, oleandres and pines. The local beaches have a nearly golden sand, a gradual entrance into the sea and a crystal clear sea. Tortoreto Lido is a very popular place for summer holidays and it offers accommodation in hotels or apartments, there are many shops, restaurants, cafes and many attractions for children in the town or on the beach.
Apart from the relaxation on the beach, you can also do some water sports such as windsurfing or sailing, you can play tennis or cycle or go roller - skating to the track which is 15 km long. The active tourists will certainly appreciate the nearness of the mountains. There is also a popular aquapark Onda Blu right in Tortereto with more than 25 attractions for both kids and adults. We also recommend a trip to the famous Roman town Ascoli Piceno or a visit of the undersea park at the island Isola della Gallinara.
Tourist tax
For the season 2019 the tourist tax was introduced: € 1.00 / night for guests aged 14 and over, applicable to stays from 15/06 to 31/08 for a maximum of 6 consecutive nights (except for exemptions provided for by municipal regulations).
