Nicotera Marina is a seaside resort on the peninsula of Capo Vaticano (Calabria), on the Tyrrhenian coast, in the Costa degli Dei. The town itself is situated at the foot of Mount Poro, with the historic centre located at the top, giving a stunning view of the Gioia Tauro coastline.
Nicotera Marina and its surroundings are characterised by crystal sea, beaches with fine light sand and also rocky cliffs.
The rocky, rugged coastline provides shelters for many marine animals including moray eels and octopuses, and divers can also visit the underwater caves to admire the diverse marine fauna.
