Travelling in Lombardy would not be complete without sampling the local cuisine. Lombardy is famous for its traditional dishes, which are based on the rural character of the area.be sure to try risotto alla milanese (risotto with saffron), which is creamy and fragrant, or osso buco, braised veal knuckle. Don't forget the polenta, a staple of the daily diet here, and of course the wide selection of cheeses such as Grana Padano and Taleggio.
