Lake Misurina (Lago di Misurina) is one of the smallest lakes in the Italian Dolomites and the largest natural lake in the Cadore area. It is approximately 2.6 km in diameter and up to 5 m deep. It is surrounded by high mountain peaks that reflect on the water surface as if in a mirror.

Misurina is not only a paradise for nature lovers, but also for winter sports enthusiasts. The area offers a wide range of activities from classic skiing to snowboarding on the nearby slopes. For those who like something a little quieter, there are cross-country skiing trails that run around the lake and offer spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.

From November to May, the lake is covered in ice and serves as a great ice rink for winter fun.

Frozen Lake Misurina

Traditional mountain hotels stand on the shores of the lake, offering the ideal place to spend a winter holiday - not only because of the magical atmosphere of Misurina, but also because of the abundance of quality and especially the proximity to perhaps the most famous winter resort and Olympic venue, Cortina d'Ampezzo, just a few kilometres away.

On the shores of the lake you can stay in typical mountain hotels

Lake Misurina in winter combines beautiful nature, a wide range of winter activities and comfortable accommodation.
