Going on holiday to Italy? Like many people, you'll probably choose to drive your own car. It's the most convenient way to get to Italy and you can plan your time and excursions on the spot, depending on the weather.
Italy may be one of the most expensive countries in the EU in terms of fuel prices, but with a little local knowledge you don't have to spend your entire holiday budget on fuel alone. Most holidaymakers choose to travel via Germany and Austria.
