Gatteo a Mare is located on the Adriatic coast at the mouth of the famous Rubicon River, in central Italy - Emilia Romagna, between Cesenatico and Bellaria Igea Marina. Long sandy beaches stretch from here to Rimini, the whole area is a very popular place for summer holidays.
Every year in July, the town celebrates the "cat week" - Settimana della Micizia, the whole town is alive with exhibitions, competitions and performances inspired by the micini.
