Cesenatico is a seaside town with a historic centre on the Adriatic coast in central Italy - Emilia Romagna, between Ravenna and Rimini. It was founded in 1302 as a fishing village, and the remains of a 14th century fortification can still be found here.
The centre of Cesenatica is centred around the ancient harbour canal of Porto Canale, built by Leonardo da Vinci and still used today as a portit is also home to the typical fishermen's barges and is surrounded by renowned restaurants with excellent traditional cuisine.
In addition to its history, Cesenatico also offers modern hotels and apartments, shops, sports facilities and, above all, long sandy beaches with a gently shelving beach, blue sea and a pleasant atmosphere.
