Every year on 21 June, the day of the summer solstice, the beach by the iconic Faro Rosso lighthouse is transformed into a natural concert hall. People gather around 5am to experience something truly special - a concert at sunrise.
On the soft sand, often still barefoot and with a blanket over their shoulders, the audience watches the sky turn pink and orange as the string orchestra plays its first notes. Music and light combine here in a way that is hard to describe in words, it simply has to be experienced!
Romance at sunrise
The concert takes place near Punta Faro beach, one of the most picturesque places in Lignano. It is here, by the red lighthouse, that an atmosphere is created that is rightly considered one of the most romantic on the entire northern coast of Italy.
