Caorle, a popular town on Italy's Adriatic coast, offers not only beautiful beaches but also unique cultural experiences. One of them is Scogliera Viva, a fascinating outdoor art gallery. This project, which is both an art installation and a tourist attraction, is located on the coastal promenade between Caorle and Porto Santa Margherita.

What is Scogliera Viva?

Scogliera Viva translates as "living rock". Here, artists from all over the world have carved their sculptures into the massive blocks of rock that used to be part of the coastline.the project was initiated in 1986 by the local authorities and aimed to combine the natural beauty of Caorle with artistic expression. Today, Scogliera Viva is one of the most interesting outdoor art projects in all of Italy.

Art and nature in harmony

Walking around this outdoor gallery, you will have the opportunity to admire sculptures that have different styles and representations. Some sculptures express natural motifs, while others focus on the human figure or abstract forms. The sculptures are located right on the rocky coastline and most of them are carved from local stone.

Scogliera Viva is not only an art gallery, but also an ideal place to relax and stroll. You can stroll along the wooden walkways that run along the coast and past the sculptures, while enjoying the magnificent views of the Adriatic Sea. This route is popular not only with tourists but also with the locals.
