A little history and a lot of legend
The house dates back to the 13th century and belonged to the wealthy Dal Cappello family. Their coat of arms is still visible above the entrance of this house in Verona. The name is reminiscent of Shakespeare's "Capulet" family - and so the legend of Juliet was born.
The famous balcony from which Juliet was supposed to speak to Romeo is a modern addition (it was added in the 20th century), but it has become a symbol of eternal love.

The house is now a museum, offering historic interiors with furniture and paintings from the Renaissance. In the courtyard, you'll see the famous Juliet balcony - the place where almost every visitor takes a photo - and a bronze statue of Juliet. touching her breast is supposed to bring good luck in love! The walls are covered with messages and letters from lovers all over the world. Last but not least, of course, is the gift shop, where you'll find unique items inspired by the story of Romeo and Juliet. From romantic memorabilia to themed books and trinkets.
