The airport is mainly used during the high season by low-cost airlines and charter flights from a number of European cities - including connections from Prague, Vienna and Krakow.
What to expect at the airport
The airport has one small terminal that serves both scheduled and seasonal flights. You'll find basic services such as a restaurant/café, shops and currency exchange. It's a rather functional airport with an emphasis on fast check-in and easy orientation.
Need to rent a car?
Rimini Federico Fellini Airport is home to several major car rental companies (e.g. Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Sixt and others), so you can book a car in advance and drive straight away when you land. This has its advantages:

during your holiday, you can make excursions to nearby towns or tourist sites (e.g. San Marino, Ravenna)
The rental price can vary according to the season and the type of car, but in high season smaller cars are around 25-45 €/day for longer online bookings.
How to get from the airport to the sea or to the hotel
Bus line 9 - the cheapest option
The most economical way to get from the airport to the centre of Rimini or to transfer to other services. Line 9 runs regularly every 30 minutes or so . Fromairport it goes to Rimini's main train station (Stazione Centrale). The ticket price isabout €1.50 (tickets can be bought in a vending machine or newsagent before boarding).
Train - fast connection to the surrounding area
There is also a train station right next to the airport , with regional trains to Rimini (approx. 7 min), Riccione (also a few minutes away), with other connections further along the coast. The ticket price is around €2.
Taxi / private transfer
Taxis stop outside the terminal and are the most convenient option if you are travelling with a lot of luggage or at night. The price of a taxi to the centre of Rimini is around 20-30 €. The journey takes approximately 15-20 min.
Walk or bike
The airport is relatively close to the coast and to the Miramare area - if you have only a small luggage and it's not too hot, you can walk to the centre or to some of the beaches or rent a bike from Rimini after you get off at the airport. From the airport it is only about 1km to Miramare beach (about 15 min walk), to Riccione about 4km, to Rimini centre about 6km.
